Training Classes

Business training classes provided by BRS are based upon practical business, not theory from books.  Everything taught is based upon real experiences of people who've been in successful businesses.

Successful businesses are those that provide a primary income to the owner (not a part-time add-on to the spouse salary), and which lasted a minimum of five years.  Business training classes support the idea that building successful businesses supports the economic strength of American communities.  Read what attendees have to say.

The Challenge:

As most of us are already painfully aware, the survival rate of new, small businesses is very low.   Depending upon what resource you refer to the failure rate varies from 55% to 80% and we believe it does not have to be this way.  The most popular ways to resolve this challenge are increased training hours and/or throw money at the issue.  Unfortunately, neither of these options is working well because the failure rates remain constant.

The Solution:

To resolve this challenge takes innovative thought.  Simply doing more of what has been done does not produce a different result.  Only providing increases in training hours and dollars does not necessarily increase the knowledge level of the participant so why train more?

Our approach is different.  We start by looking the people getting into business.  We help them answer the first, and most basic question: should I go into business?  Or asked another way, do I have enough skills to make a business successful?  We then train only the concepts in a class setting because attempting to teach the entire process in a class does not work.  Our program provides ongoing, one-to-one coaching to assist participants in assimilating the concepts learned in class.  With one-to-one coaching they will learn specifically how to apply the concepts to their business, not some unrelated sample business. 

The Biz Right System is based upon over 32 years of personal, business experience, a proven program in Charleston, SC in the mid 1990s, some of the work done by the OED in Littleton, CO, and interviews with over 200 company owners in the past 10 years..  It is not the typical program, therefore, does not produce the typical results. 

The Process:

To launch a program in your community just follow these very simple steps:

1. I come to your community and train the first class, and all you do is pay my travel expenses and purchase the manuals used by the participants.

2. I come to your community a second time and train 1/2 the class and you train the second half.  All you do is is pay my travel expenses and purchase the manuals used by the participants.

3. I come to your community a third time and critique your training and all you do is is pay my travel expenses and purchase the manuals used by the participants.

4. From this point on you only order your training manuals from us and you are on your own.  Of course we will visit your location at any time if you require further assistance so you are not out there alone.
